AWFI Symposium Offers VR Training 10/11/2012 9:39:11 AM | | Article by American Wood Finishing Institute | South Boston, Va. -- The American Wood Finishing Institute will utilize VR technology to train spray operators during the Technology and Training Symposium event. Attendees will have access to the technology during Spray Operator Training Seminars (SPO 115), as well as additional time on the main floor during open lab sessions.
This technology was developed by the University of Northern Iowa at the Iowa Waste Reduction Center, and has been deployed at many large automotive manufacturers as well as aerospace, heavy industrial, and wood industries.
Industry experts will present 20 seminars that cover a variety of coatings topics such as compliance, robotics, flat-line setup and operation, powder coating, color matching, spray operator training and more.
