BSZ 12 Metabo has introduced the new BSZ 12 cordless drill/driver. The 12-volt tool has a new motor that offers greater power than previous models - up to 460 inch pounds of torque. Its onboard Variospeed electronics allow infinite no-load speeds up to 1,350 rpm. The quick change 1.4 amp/hour battery is part of a new air-cooled charging system that offers 30-minute charging with up to 2,000 charges per battery. The BSZ 12 uses 3-level planetary gears and a smooth gear change mechanism to extend tool life. The built-in fan helps keep the motor cool under load. The cordless drill/driver provides 20 torque settings, plus a drill setting, reversing capabilities, auto-stop brushes, a keyless 1/2-in. chuck and an ergonomic, rubber-coated T-handle. 100339440
